Mouse Deer is an intelligent animal. He has a lot of sense so that he is always safe from the pursuit of the enemy. One day, he was chased by a dog. He hid behind a thicket of grass. The dog doesn’t know it and keeps chasing the mouse deer.

Carefully, Mouse Deer covered his footprints with dust so the dog wouldn’t sniff. As a result, even dogs do not know the existence of Mouse Deer. After a long time hiding and feels safe. Crocodile just believe in Mouse Deer, He released his bite at Mouse Deer feet. Mouse Deer then told crocodiles to call his friends. Crocodile also obey the Mouse Deer’s request. In a short time, Crocodile friends surfaced.

“One of you must take me to the other side. I will look for food there so that my body will become fat and delicious for you to eat together, “said Mouse Deer.

It turns out that the crocodiles want to fulfill the deer demand. With joy, Kancil immediately climbed onto the crocodile’s back to cross.

“Enjoy your joy because soon you will enter my stomach. Remember, don’t try to trick me! ”Crocodile exclaimed to the Mouse Deer.

The crocodile waits for a mouse deer by the river, while a mouse deer looks for fruits to eat as much as you like. Soon after that. Mouse deer appears again with a fat belly. Apparently he was full.

“Crocodile, how many friends do you have?” Asked Mouse Deer.

“I’ve never counted, deer,” said Crocodile.

“Wow, how do I divide my flesh later? Alright, I counted your number. Now line up neatly to form a bridge to the other side, “said Mouse Deer wisely.

The crocodiles then lined up neatly. Mouse deer jump from crocodile’s back to the back of another crocodile while counting one, two, three, four, and so on. Until arrived hare across the river. Mouse Deer then waved his hand.

“Thank you Crocodile, and goodbye,” said Mouse Deer with a smile.

“Hey, you don’t just leave. I haven’t eaten you! “Crocodile exclaimed angrily.

“Oh sorry, you won’t be able to play my flesh,” shouted Mouse Deer while running, “You Mouse Deer, you can’t be trusted! Cheater! Mouse Deer, come back! ”Cried the crocodiles.

But, hare continue to run fast regardless of the crocodiles who want to eat it.

Ingenuity is indeed very important. However, under any circumstances, lying is not allowed. Find a better way to achieve your desires.

Kancil adalah hewan yang cerdas, la memi­liki banyak akal sehingga ia selalu selamat dari kejaran musuh. Suatu hari, dia dikejar oleh seekor anjing, la pun bersembunyi di balik rumput belukar. Anjing tidak mengetahuinya dan terus mengejar Kancil.

Dengan hati-hati, Kancil menutup jejak kakinya dengan debu supaya tidak diendus anjing. Alhasil, Anjing pun tidak mengetahui keberadaan Kancil. Setelah cukup lama ber­sembunyi dan dirasa aman. Kancil keluar dari belukar, ia berjalan ke arah yang berlawanan dengan Anjing, hingga sampailah ia di tepi su­ngai.

“Sepertinya sungai ini cukup dalam. Ba­gaimana cara menyeberanginya?” pikir Kancil.

Kancil berjalan ke arah pohon pisang yang masih kecil, la hendak membuat rakit dari pohon itu. Setelah rakit itu jadi, ia me­narik rakitnya ke tepi sungai. Tanpa ia sadari, seekor buaya besar sedang mengintainya dari belakang. Dalam sekejap, kaki Kancil diterkam sang buaya.

“Aduh Buaya, tunggu sebentar!” seru Kan­cil.

“Tunggu apa lagi Kancil? Perutku sudah la­par! Jangan berani menipuku!” dengus Buaya.

“Jangan khawatir Buaya, aku tak mungkin berani menipumu. Tapi aku sedang lapar juga, jadi biarkan aku mencari makan dulu,” jawab Kancil.

Buaya percaya saja pada Kancil, la me­lepaskan gigitannya pada kaki Kancil. Kancil lalu menyuruh buaya untuk memanggil teman-temannya. Buaya pun menuruti permintaan Kancil. Dalam waktu singkat, teman-teman Buaya muncul ke permukaan air.

“Salah satu dari kalian harus mengantar­ku ke seberang. Aku akan mencari makanan di sana sehingga tubuhku akan menjadi gendut dan enak untuk kalian santap bersama,” kata Kancil.

Ternyata para buaya itu mau memenu­hi permintaan Kancil. Dengan riang gembira, Kancil segera naik ke punggung buaya untuk menyeberang.

“Nikmatilah kegembiraanmu karena se­bentar lagi kau akan masuk ke dalam perutku. Ingat, jangan coba-coba menipuku!” seru Bua­ya kepada Kancil.

Buaya menunggu Kancil di pinggir sungai, sementara Kancil mencari buah-buahan untuk disantap sepuasnya. Tak lama kemudian. Kan­cil muncul lagi dengan perut lebih gendut. Ru­panya dia sudah kenyang.

“Buaya, berapa jumlah temanmu?” tanya Kancil.

“Belum pernah aku hitung, kancil,” jawab Buaya.

“Wah payah, bagaimana cara membagi dagingku nanti? Baiklah, aku yang menghi­tung jumlah kalian. Sekarang barislah dengan rapi membentuk jembatan hingga ke seberang sana,” kata Kancil dengan bijaknya.

Para buaya lalu berbaris rapi. Kancil me­loncat dari punggung buaya ke punggung bua­ya lainnnya sambil menghitung satu, dua, tiga, empat, dan seterusnya. Hingga sampailah Kan­cil di seberang sungai. Kancil kemudian melam­baikan tangannya.

“Terima kasih Buaya, dan selamat ting­gal,” kata Kancil sambil tersenyum.

“Hei, kau jangan pergi begitu saja. Aku be­lum memakanmu!” seru Buaya dengan marah.

“Oh maaf saja, kau tak akan bisa mema­in dagingku,” teriak Kancil sambil berlari, “Dasar Kancil, kamu tak bisa dipercaya! Penipu! Kancil, kembalilah!” teriak para buaya.

Tapi, Kancil terus berlari kencang tanpa menghiraukan para Buaya yang hendak me­mangsanya.

Pesan Moral :

Kecerdikan memang sangat penting. Namun, dalam keadaan apa pun, ber­bohong itu tak diperbolehkan. Cari cara yang lebih baik agar keinginanmu dapat tercapai.
